At TuS Osdorf, the club\u2019s select team faced off against the Pantaenius All Stars in a charity game to benefit our inclusive sailing projects\u2014with a fantastic atmosphere and a four-figure donation total.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes the best support comes from a completely different league. In Osdorf, Pantaenius and TuS Osdorf teamed up to organize a charity match: the TuS Osdorf select team versus the Pantaenius All Stars\u2014all to benefit the inclusive sailing projects of Wir sind Wir Inclusion in Sailing e.V.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It turned out to be a wonderful day. Amid a great atmosphere, numerous spectators gathered\u2014many families were there\u2014and everyone enjoyed a barbecue, chatted, and celebrated together. In the end, the event raised a four-figure donation for inclusive sailing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yet it\u2019s not the amount that moves us the most\u2014it\u2019s the gesture. Soccer is in a league of its own, both literally and figuratively: the sport with the most members, the largest association, and the most sponsors. The fact that a soccer club, of all organizations, is stepping up to support a completely different sport\u2014and is putting inclusive sailing at the center of it\u2014fascinates and inspires us. That is exactly what sports are all about in the best sense: standing up for one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe fact that a soccer club is stepping up for inclusive sailing is a wonderful sign\u2014and we\u2019d like to see more of it,\u201d says Sven J\u00fcrgensen, chairman of Wir sind Wir Inclusion in Sailing e.V. \u201cIt shows what sports can truly be about: that we\u2019re there for one another.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our heartfelt thanks go to TuS Osdorf and Pantaenius\u2014and especially to Matze from TuS Osdorf and Simone Wippern from Pantaenius, who made this match possible. You gave us a wonderful day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps this is just the beginning: For 2027, our hope is to develop a similar format for a good cause together with other sailing and soccer clubs\u2014one that brings sports together and shows how much is possible when we stand together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
